Lost 2/14

I still have to let this roll through my mind but a few things that stick out are……………………

It seems obvious that we are dealing with some sort of time rift.  This is evident in the “pay load” and when Danny told the pilot to go back the way he came and by NO MEANS vary.  No matter what!!!!  I wonder if Naomi will come back to life.  I still wonder if those flashbacks weren’t flash forwards(from the newbies, except for Naomi).

Who are thesse people that Sayid is killing.  The first guy he called Avion which means airplane.  He has to have somehting to do with either the airline or the “island.”  My guess is island.  I would think that someone with the airline would have recognized Sayid right off.

Ben.  I’m wondering if Ben isn’t some rouge spy.  But when would he have had his training.  Unless of course the others were a covert spy group and we all know Ben joined them.  Perhaps they were trying to develop some special program there.  It would kind of explain how Ben had dossiers on every person on the island.  It would also explain why they sent a govt. agent to extract him.  He must have gone rouge.  but why.  Did he discover Jacob and after that everyone followed him?  Still too much specualtion there.

The list.  More on that.  Ben said that Sayid had to kill these people in order to keep his friends safe.  Perhaps these are the people that know the island exists and that there are people there.  Perhaps Sayid is trying to keep Locke and everyone who stayed safe.  Ben loved that Island more than anyone so that would make the most sense.  He didn’t want to leave and maybe he plans on going back once everyone that knows about the island is elimintaed.  Wouldn’t that make a nice ending to Lost.  Everyone is reunited on the island.

Oh I hope the show does end overall on a happy note.  I hate to think of Jack and Hurley living a miserable life.  I’m sure I will have more ideas and thoughts after I sleep on it.  If you have anything to share please add.

Gotta Love Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!

Can’t wait for Survivor and Lost tonight.  It’s only been one episode of Survivor but you have to love that Johnny Fairplay was voted off first.  We shall see what the rest of the season is like.

I got more great news too.  One of the teachers in the new buiklding I have been in really liked me and told the principal that they should hire me for a tutoring position.  I just talked with her today and I am hired.  I will tutor 6th grade kids in an one on one setting.  I pull them from their reading class and prepare them for the TAKS.  That is the Texas MEAP.  Woohoo.  So it is just part time every day and the job ends at the end of April.  Perfect timing as we are planning on heading to Michigan to train the first week in May(coop’s bday too).  The pay is way better than subbing too.

A cold front is coming in.  It was 72 today but is suppose to be 40 by Sunday then back to 75 Monday.  Chilly weekend.  Gotta get the kids outside to run off the Valentines day party candy.  WE also wanted to wish Curly a happy 6th birthday!!!!

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost

I have so much to say but most of what I had to say was better summed up in the article that someone sent me in a comment on an earlier post.  http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20177008,00.html  This had some really good ideas.  The author of the article does what a few do.  He brings insight from an English major’s perspective.  While that is cool and all I, not having and English major, prefer to just read into it what I see and feel.

My quick observations…..

Hurley can see/hear Jacob too.  Wonder how that will play out.

I thought that the newbie footage were flash forwards except that wouldn’t explain the Naomi one unless hers was the only one that was a rewind.  Charlotte was excited to see the polar bear “again”, the pilot “knew” that wasn’t the body of the dead pilot because he had been to the island and heard the fate of his friend, Faraday was crying when he saw the footage because he knew they weren’t really dead but wasn’t allowed to say anything(guilt), Miles flash forward or rewind didn’t tell us anything other than he can talk to dead people(unless I missed something..it has been over a week since I saw the show).

Does Ben really not know what the black smoke is?  Did his electric gates keep it out?

I really have to post at least the day after the show.  I am not working tomorrow so I promise to post tomorrow about the show.

If you have any speculation please feel free to share.  I can’t wait for tonight.  The same poster who gave me the link above also listed who she thought were the oceanic 6 so scroll through the comments if you want to see.

LOST 1/31

OK I can’t make this as indepth as I would like as my mother is running a sweat shop and I have to get back to work.  So here are some thoughts.  And please feel free to share yours.

1)  Who do you think are the Oceanic six?  Of course we know that it is Kate, Jack, Hurley and????????

A few episodes back I swear that Desmond told Charlie that he had to flip the switch and die in order for a helicopter to come and take Claire and Aaron.  So could they be the other two?  Or am I remembering incorrectly?  AND how was Hurley taken back when he wasn’t even with the camp that wanted to be rescued.  Perhaps that plays out over the next years episodes.  Why would he tell Jack he was sorry he ever went with Locke?  Unless he was referring to another later situation that we haven’t seen yet.  Because if we were talking about the decision to be resuced or hide I would have trusted Charlie’s deathbed statement more than some women who fell fom the sky.

2)  Why is Hurley seeing things again?

OK I am starting to get that he is the first one to crack when they are able to tell the world that others survived the crash but didn’t or couldn’t come back.  Again we will have to wait to see why they couldn’t or chose not to come back.  We saw that eventually it did wear on Jack as well as evident by the last season finale.   I don’t remember why he first started seeing people and was committed.  That black guy that was suppose to be a lawyer from Oceanic certainly was creepy.  I can’t remember now(have to look back at tivo) who told Hurley he was there.  Was it the same guy who saw Charlie?  Anyway that is another topic.  Perhaps the lawyer is Hurley’s imagination maybe not but when he asked Hurley if others survived the crash it was creepy.  Even more creepier was the “black smoke” that trailed out the door when the lawyer left the room.  I got goose bumps and had to play it over to show my mother.  Not sure what that means yet.

3)  Speaking of black smoke, Jacob and other paranormal thingys…….

Are we ever going to learn what this is?  or will they sweep it away or ignore it like some dumb polar bear fiasco?  Did anyone catch what the house was saying to Hurley when he got lost in the woods?  I kept playing it over and over and couldn’t figure it out.  I knew Locke would be in there with Jacob when Hurley looked in.  And speaking of him What the hell is up with that/him.  How will they be able to make sense of this?  I’m starting to wonder about the”others” and their leader Ben.    Now this is still tied to paranormal so bear with me while I ramble.  Ben and Locke have a lot in common.  Both were dismissed/hated by their fathers.  Both killed their fathers(I know Locke didn’t really do it but the others think he did).  Now let me stop there for a second because this got me wondering.  I’m thinking that maybe the origianl others(pre ben) had a book/bible or something that spoke of a prophet that would come to their Island to …….make them better, lead them, or something etc..  This prophet would be neglected/abandoned by his father but later in life this prophet would kill his father and become the leader of the “others.”  Ben did that to his dad right when he helped kill all j=his fellow Dharma people and then he became the leader of the others.  Remember when Locke came the others took a liking to him and Ben put him on the spot by demanding that he kill his father, knowing that Locke couldn’t do it.  Remember the spectacle Ben put on and then the speech he gave saying Lock wasn’t ready.  I think Ben knew he would lose his seat of power so he made a power play move of his own.  But then the one other who oddly enough resembles the man who spoke to Ben when he was younger and with the Dharma group, gave Locke the dossier on Sawyer.  Locke knew Sawyer would kill his father for him once Sawyer knew that this was the man he had spent his life hunting.  And so it was done and the others rejoiced when Locke joined them with his dead father on his back.  It was then that Ben decided the ultimate test was the Jacob test.  It seemed obvious to me that Ben had been faking it.  He couldn’t hear Jacob and Jacob gave him an ass wooping.  BUT Locke did hear him and Ben knew he would be ousted as leader so he shot Locke and left him to die.  What does Jacob need saving from?

I have to stop here.  But would love to know what others think and I will post more in the comment section if you do too.
