Kids say the funniest things………………….
Noah and Cooper surprise me everyday with their thoughts and takes on life. Noah has started riding his bike with training wheels. A little boy on our street is wuite the daredevil(Aidan) and he is only 4. He rides a bike with no training wheels and he skateboards and does tricks. I think his gravitas is rubbing off on Noah. Of course Cooper has been riding the bike for a week now. Any way, I told Noah that I would buy him a bike of his choice once he is ready to take off the training wheels. He flashed me a puzzled glance. He said, “I hope you are not talking about taking off my stabilizers.” So for now on in this house we use the more technical term, stablizers, in place of training wheels.
Cooper is becoming ever so sweet. Today I dropped a wood block on my foot. It hurt so bad and he came over and asked if I was OK. He told me I needed to rest and he took my hand and raised me to my feet and walked me to my bedroom. He told me to lay down and he would come back to check in on me. He said rest and it will feel better. This is such a nice relief since he used to like to hit you and laugh at you while you pretended to cry.
Another funny thing Coopy said……………I asked him if he had a stinky and he said no but he did have a fluffy tail. eeewww
Reading this reminded me of a cute story…my 3 1/2 yr old LOVES to crawl from the love seat to the couch via the corner table….the glass-top corner table. The other day, I saw him raring him up to do it and said…”don’t you even think about crawling on mommie’s table”…..he stopped and about 2-3 minutes later, I heard him tell his 18 mo. old brother….”aidan, don’t you even fink about your movver’s table..don’t even fink about it!” and I walked in to find Aidan about to crawl onto the table. And….he got a haircut yesterday at the mall and the lady spiked it and then tole him how “handsome” he was….he was totally checking himself out in the mirror and then this morning, g’ma said…”i heard you got a haircut” and he said…”yep..and i’m pretty handsome now too!” I try to write all these little moments down….I’m positive I’ve missed some….but they truly are priceless!!! P.S. - who are you rooting for on “top chef”? I’d like to see Stefanie take it….sorry to see Antonia go….Lisa scares me!!!
I totally agree with your take on Top Chef. I want Stef to win. I think overall her and Richard were the only ones truly competing. I don’t know how Lisa made it this far. She is horrible. I was surprised when she beat Dale and again when she beat Antonio. Antonio was way better than Lisa. Did you see the results of the text poll. SOmething like 94% thought Lisa was going home.
I did see that…..she’s really not top notch like the other 3 and her attitude totally sucks….how ’bout when she said…”i know you guys are bummed but a congrats might be nice”…oh boo-hoo….take your toys and go home…if she wins….i’m not sure i’ll ever watch again……bit then again, I say that all the time and there i sit….watching again!
There is NO way she will win so you are safe! LOL
I was shocked that Lisa was still on she scares me too, I hope Stephanie wins it but Richard is pretty good also.
