Hey Nik!

Thank you for the hugs for Baxter! I really could use a daily hug and you living next door to me again! I have been beside myself all month with agony over the infections. Oddly enough, after I made the decision for the toe amputation for Monday the 23rd, I did start to "feel" better about it. It broke my heart when I picked him up. He cried for his Mommie the second he saw me! Driving home was no fun. I didn't want to impose on anyone to go with me, so it took me about 30 mintues to drive home using back roads!

The great news is, the Vet was right....he bounced back like a "Champe" and ever since Thursday he has been doing really well. Yesterday he was "running" on front lawn (the crazy Zosia grass is like hay right now and soft on his feet) but 100% putting pressure on it. He is in really good spirits and he goes back to the Vet Monday (the 2nd) to get a lookie at the paw again. We went last week and I saw the missing toe area briefly. Vet said it looked good though. It will get some time getting me used to seeing it missing once the wrapping & bootie comes off. Mr. Fifteen Toes is doing GREAT!

aaaaaaaa, I totally miss the days of Profiler and BBQing with you! Steamed Fresh Artichokes with Cumin dip, "hey I have chicken, what do you have?" and make a meal from whatever together! Woodchucks, Mike's and watching Bax & Mo playing. Yes Mo's high pitch squeal will ever be embedded in my brain, but her "happy" little sound was always fun to hear. I knew she was enjoying herself and Baxter LOVES her so much!

HOUSE, Ugly Betty & The Big Bang Theory are my "Hooked" Shows. Although, I just recently got hooked on MONK & Burn Notice (marathon on USA yesterday) and just watched a Mark Harmon version of NCIS, not bad. I sadly could not keep up with LOST since last season. I had been going to bed at 9-9:20pm every night and if I stayed up to watch it'd kill me next day! I keep saying I'll find someone who has it taped. Or wait for DVD to come out. But I LOVE LOST too!

Well, I love you Nikki! Miss you to death!
